This short, free online course will teach you the basics of web design using HTML. We’ll start by introducing tags, which are heavily used in the design process. You will learn the functions of commonly used tags like the div tag, break tag, paragraph tag, title tag, head tag, and body tag. This part of the course concludes with a demonstration of how you can add elements such as headings, lists, links, images, tables and meta tags to a website.
The second half of the course covers how to add description lists to a website. It goes on to show how elements added to a website can be better presented with some editing. Next, we’ll look at how you can use iframes to embed a website in another website and also how to add videos, audio, and forms to a website. The course concludes with a demonstration of how you can use CSS and JavaScript to make a website more beautiful or responsive.
